It is thought that in the place where nowadays settles the population of SANTA MARINELLA there was a remote Etruscan city. The strange fact is that the Roman writers of that period of time never mentioned the small city.
That detail, make us think that probably the city disappeared before the Romans occupied the place, or that the same Romans did it at the moment of their conquest by totally destroying it.
